Which Revolubes Chain Blend Suits You Best?

At Revolubes, we know one thing: if something is “for everything”, it usually doesn’t do anything particularly well.

That’s why we created several different blends, each designed for specific riding conditions and styles.

Choose the situation that best matches the way you ride:

Road & Gravel

I mainly ride on tarmac or gravel, in dry or damp conditions. I care about a clean drivetrain, speed and smooth, effortless performance.

Clear Blend contains no additives that could create extra drag or build up on the chain during wear. Because it does not leave an oily film, the chain does not attract dust and dirt.

In fact, you can barely tell the chain has been lubricated at all. What remains instead is the shine of the chain, chainrings and sprockets, along with a beautifully smooth-running drivetrain.

Clear Blend is the choice for dry conditions, dust, light dirt and damp weather. It works brilliantly across a wide range of disciplines: road, track, gravel, MTB and urban riding.

It is ideal anywhere smooth riding, a clean, almost sterile-looking drivetrain, or even hundredths of a second matter.

Yes, Clear Blend is made for riders who care about drivetrain power losses and performance when it really counts.

Either way, Clear Blend is a strong choice and a great starting point for your Revolubes journey, delivering long-lasting lubrication, extremely low friction, smooth performance, cleanliness and lasting protection for your drivetrain.

Ready to Get Soaked

OK, but what if you ride not only in dry weather, but actively head out in wet, changeable and unpredictable conditions?

What should you use when you are riding on wet tarmac or gravel and all the water from the front wheel is being thrown straight onto your chainrings?

Our answer is Revolubes Wet Blend. It uses our base technology, enriched with hydrophobic ingredients. It is highly resistant to wash-off and effectively protects your bicycle drivetrain not only against wear, but also against water and its corrosive effects.

The coating it creates repels water, protecting the chain both inside the working surfaces and on the outside.

Wet Blend is the choice for wet and changeable weather. For many riders, it becomes a year-round, long-distance solution, with a wide range of uses: road, gravel, bikepacking, MTB and urban riding.

So if you train whatever the weather, you are a dedicated bikepacking enthusiast, or your bike is your everyday transport and you want a versatile multi-season chain lube without having to top it up mid-ride because the previous one has just washed away in the rain, Wet Blend is for you.

Power Assist

Now for something for e-bike lovers. Because while heading for the hills is always good fun, climbs with assistance are even better.

And although e-bikes save a lot of your energy, leaving more of it for the fun part, that extra help does not come for free.

The drivetrain components on e-bikes are often very similar to those used on analogue bikes, yet the power being transferred can be many times higher.

Add to that the less fluid way power is delivered, and it is no surprise that you sometimes hear of e-bike cassettes wearing out after just 1,000 km. If that sounds familiar, you already know how expensive that kind of fun can become.

So if you are tired of watching your chain eat through your expensive drivetrain, and it feels like there is nothing you can do apart from accept it, the answer is Revolubes e-blend.

e-blend is an advanced version of Clear Blend, enhanced with a unique compound used in the mining industry. Thanks to this, the lube handles high torque and impact loads exceptionally well.

This combination means e-blend effectively reduces friction, minimises component wear and delivers maximum performance for electric-assisted drivetrains.

Road Salt & Frost

OK, because in our part of the world the seasons do change, here is something for those who refuse to stop riding, even in winter.

You know the scene: you ride to work in the morning, when it is dark, cold and wet, and the gritters look like snow groomers on a ski slope.

Or you load your bike onto the car rack in winter and wonder what is happening to it on the way, when even your rear wiper can barely cope.

What do these situations have in common? Water and slush, washing even the thickest lubricants off the chain and leaving your drivetrain at the mercy of salt.

Either way, whether you ride in winter because you love it or because you have to, we respect that. That is why we created a special-purpose blend for you.

Winter Blend is a derivative, armoured version of the Wet Blend formula. Alongside hydrophobic ingredients, it is enriched with industrial anti-corrosion additives, including corrosion and oxidation inhibitors.

As well as repelling water, it keeps the drivetrain running smoothly in low temperatures and helps prevent the rust spots that are so common in winter due to road salt. As a bonus, it also makes it easier to remove all the muck collected along the way.

Winter Blend is designed for the season, not for one specific type of bike, so it works from road riding all the way to heavy off-road use.

Wading in Mud

Finally, the heavyweight contender. We designed this one for situations where mud becomes your lubricant, specifically for those who literally wade through it up to the crank.

Because bicycles have gears, chain links need clearance so the chain can run at an angle and work across the full cassette. Those clearances are large enough to allow grains of sand and dirt into the the links, especially in extreme conditions, turning the chain into a quartz grinder.

Since bicycle chains do not have O-rings like motorcycle chains, we decided to create a liquid seal.

Heavy Blend is more viscous and thickens further after application inside the gaps of the chain. Based on modified active calcium sulphonate complex technology, it not only seals the links and resists wash-off, but also creates a durable self-lubricating layer that keeps the drivetrain running smoothly and quietly.

Heavy Blend is a dedicated solution that performs exceptionally well on muddy routes, gravel trails and demanding gravel and MTB rides, where puddles and mud are not just normal, they are part of the fun.
